trilogi

trilogi stands for tri Service Logistics Information and set out as a partnering arrangement between Defence Logistic Organisation/ Corporate Technical Services (DLO/CTS) and BAE SYSTEMS. Formed in 2000 to realise the partnering benefits of performance, cost saving and value creation across the tri-Service information sector.

The success of the trilogi concept is attributed to the open working relationship between the DLO and BAE SYSTEMS through the delivery of solutions in support services. trilogi is open to industry as a whole to become involved, as this is clearly the only way the full benefits can be achieved by both the DLO and Industry.

Coming out of the trilogi relationship is a product called trilogiView. It is an Integrated Technical Data (ITD) Solution that represents the next generation of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP). It can be integrated with other systems such as maintenance management systems, spare parts ordering systems and training.

In December 2002 the DLO awarded a contract to BAE SYSTEMS to supply and maintain 30,000 trilogiView Licences to the MoD over a period of 10 years and it is estimated that this will save the MoD at least £170 million.
